As reported by TMZ, Floyd Mayweather has stepped up in a major way for over 100 Americans displaced by wildfires in Maui … not only covering the cost for almost 70 families to fly to safety from Maui to Honolulu, but also giving them food, clothing, and shelter.

Mayweather is providing the people with hotel rooms for several weeks, as well as meals from local food establishments and clothing while away from their homes. Taking notice of the immediate need for housing and basic necessities, Mayweather also ensured that the displaced families would receive proper care.

According to a TMZ source, Mayweather is working with H&M to provide clothing for the men, women, and children that lost their belongings due to the wildfires.

Maui has been devastated by wildfires that swept through the island in a matter of minutes, killing at least 99 people as of Tuesday, August 15th, according to official reports. On top of a mounting loss of life, over a thousand structures have burned to the ground.

Many people seeking refuge from the fires were forced to flee with just the clothing on their backs and nothing else, leaving behind all they owned and cherished.

TMZ reached out to Mayweather for comment … and though he confirmed the generous deed, he stated that he wasn’t seeking recognition or attention.

His actions reflect a sincere devotion to humanity and the desire to bring hope and relief to those in need in a time of crisis.
